The following list is a compilation of the 40 best National Lampoon movies.
National Lampoon was an American humor magazine that ran from 1970 to 1998. The magazine started out as a spinoff from The Harvard Lampoon and eventually led to books, movies, and more. Some of the movies had the label “National Lampoon’s whatever” but weren’t necessarily made by the same production company.
I found 12 different ranked lists online of “best National Lampoon movies” and pulled them all into Excel and merged them all to get this definitive compilation. I have used the primary titles of each movie as listed in IMDb. See my Methodology page for the research process that was used, including links to all 12 lists that were averaged.
